Sifa B. follows the life of Sifa Bihomora, a Rwandan musician living in Columbia, Missouri. As time progresses, Sifa experiences imperative transformations in her career, home life, and view of self. Gifted with an electric personality, strong compassion and undying ambition, Sifa spreads positive influence within the small community. The film begins to challenge her friendship with the filmmaker by uncovering each other’s contradictory communication styles, personal needs, and differing socio-historical backgrounds. As she finds herself putting the films needs before her own, Sifa must decide to keep going or stop production all together. Using cinema as a tool, the duo strives to fulfill the balance between them.

Audrey Roloff

Audrey Roloff is graduating in May 2022 from the University of Missouri with a dual degree in Documentary Journalism and Information Technology. Roloff entered documentary storytelling because it merged both her curious nature and creative ambitions. When she isn’t editing in the documentary lab, she is pursuing passion projects that tap into her wide range of storytelling abilities. Roloff has taken on multiple leadership positions throughout her college career. She served as president of the Documentary Club and the Journalism Student Council. Additionally, Roloff was a media specialist for the 2022 Camp True/False Film Festival, production coordinator for Healium, a Columbia-based virtual reality company, and co-director and producer for the Virginia Avenue SS22 runway. No challenge is too much for Roloff as she takes on every project with passion, commitment, and creativity. Following graduation, Roloff will continue to pursue creative storytelling as she navigates the fast-paced world of visual communications.
