Sean Frost is a regional Edward R. Murrow award-winning documentary producer with a strong passion for social and cultural documentary filmmaking. Raised on the Chesapeake Bay and later moving to Delaware, Sean's experiences as a queer filmmaker have inspired his focus on community-based storytelling.
As a graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Documentary at the University of Missouri, Sean's thesis research examined the relationships between queer audiences and queer characters in nonfiction programming. While working as a research assistant at Investigative Reporters and Editors, he contributed to the organization's first-ever LGBTQ+ quarterly journal. Currently, Sean is an associate producer at the Law & Crime Network's Documentary Unit, working on two docuseries: Cult Justice and A&E's Killer Cases.
Sean is deeply committed to using his documentary filmmaking skills to promote LGBTQIA+ community storytelling. Through initiatives like Queer People Telling Queer Stories, he aims to leverage situated knowledge in long-form journalism to amplify the voices of underrepresented communities.
